Spesific Description | Elongated and moderately slender body and tail, without any ridges on body (smooth body).Head as broad as long and depressed. Snout produced and rather obtuse or rounded. Mouth and nasal opening place ventrally. Mouth much nearer to eye than to snout tip. Lower labial fold present. Nostril connected to mouth by nasoral groove, with well-developed nasal barbel. Eye without nictitating membrane, with large spiracle about the size of eye placed under it. 5 gillslits with the 5th overlapping 4th. Dorsal fins angular, about equal in size and somewhat larger than pelvic fin, with produced free rear tips. Posterior margin of both dorsal fins sligthly concave. Interdorsal space slightly larger than 1st dorsal fin base. Origin of 1st dorsal fin above middle region of pelvic fin base. Anal fin notched, close to caudal fin but much behind 2nd dorsal fin base.
