Body color:

Dorsal region dark blue with complicated striped pattern which does not extend forward beyond middle of 1st dorsal fins. Lower sides and abdomen silvery. Several distinctive dark spots between pectoral and pelvic fins.

Specific Description:

Body fusiform, elongate and subcylindrical. Eye moderate without adipose eyelid. Lateral line slightly wavy.
